Who is PriceFolk
A community for people who don't mind waiting for the right price.
Where we come from
PriceFolk is an early stage startup based just outside Copenhagen. We are small, we are new, and we are building this in the open with the people who use it. We filled the first catalogue ourselves to get things moving. From here, demand decides: the products people ask for are the products we go after.
What we're building
A community hub for deal hunters. Not a coupon site and not a price comparison tool, but a place where people who want the same thing can stand behind one number together. You tell us what you would happily pay for a product. When enough people agree on a price, that becomes something a brand can actually say yes to. Then you decide whether to take it. Nothing is bought on your behalf, and nothing expires in ten minutes.
What we believe
- Patience is worth money, and it should be paid back to the person who has it.
- A price you choose yourself beats a discount someone chose for you.
- Urgency is a sales tactic, not a service. We won't use it on you.
- Demand belongs to the people who create it.
How we want to work
We are also building a workplace, and we care about what that turns into. We have spent long enough in large organisations to know what drains people and what doesn't. We would rather build the other kind of place: one you're glad to show up to, where the work is real and you can see what your effort changed.
That includes who gets a chance. Getting a first job is harder than it should be, and plenty of capable young people are stuck waiting for someone to take the first bet on them. We intend to be that bet more than once.
Where we're going
Right now we are proving this works in Denmark, on a growing catalogue and with real brands at the table. From there we want to expand into more categories and more of Europe, so that "I'll wait for the right price" becomes a normal way to shop rather than a rare one.
